My students are part of a Title 1 School. Most of my students do not have devices at home or internet access. Through the school, we have access to the Google Suite. My students are so engaged with lessons they can use technology. My students love Kahoot, Quizizz, Nearpod, EdPuzzle, Google Classroom, JamBoard, and anything else they can interact with. I want my students to be able to read text on a device (1:1), then collaborate in real time on Jamboard. They will be able to save their notes and ideas.
Working collaboratively using technology will give my students the opportunity to learn through project-based activities. Many of my students struggle with the writing process. This will give us a platform to be able to share ideas and writing with each other. They will be able to comment and give feedback on their peer's work. My students hope so badly we get devices so they never have to do another worksheet again. Long live the worksheet!
