We've all heard "I'm bad at math" from family, colleagues, and children. Technology offers me one more tool to help disrupt that thinking and let them believe they are (and get) good at it.
Students in my class learn about rates of change and limiting criteria by actually manipulating lines, in a game that inspires them to figure out how to write an equation. They learn to use technology to make sense of statistics, and communicate the story told by numbers.
All students have the right to learn and with these three laptops, students will have access to 21st-century learning. Students will learn to work on various platforms, developing their computer literacy as well as accessing lessons that create an equitable playing field.
