Having cubbies in our classroom will give a "home" to my student's classroom curriculum and work materials. In each cubby, the student's textbooks, workbooks, and class reading material will be stored.
By having an assigned area to store learning materials, my students will be able to work collaboratively at tables and not be bound to individual desks.
Providing cubbies for my students will make group work and flexible seating possible, which will allow my students to practice 21-century learner skills (communication and collaboration). Cubbies are the first step to making this collaborative classroom a reality!
