As a teacher, I would appreciate the opportunity to learn best practices that have been tried and proved to promote classroom, school and student success.
This project will allow me to see first-hand both teachers and students in action. I will be able to attend workshops that cover topics such as positive climate and culture, rigor, and student engagement. These components are all essential in creating an effective learning environment for the 21st century child.
My students will benefit because I will gain knowledge in many areas that will enhance my teaching such as:
• techniques for infusing energy and passion into lesson planning and delivery
• ideas for teaching the content creatively
• strategies for higher order questioning
• lessons that require creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving
• techniques for building student confidence, respect, and enthusiasm.
• ideas for instilling a sense of tradition
