The wobble chairs will help my students be able to work better, especially during testing/assessments. Often young children lack the core strength needed to sit still in chairs and sometimes they fall or completely lay down on the tables. With the wobble chairs, they will be able to build the core strength they need, while at the same time they are able to move helping their "wiggly" bodies!
Children learn in different ways and being able to manipulate letters will help them learn better using different parts of their brains. The language arts manipulative will help my students as they learn letters, their sounds, and beginning blending. These manipulatives will be used in small group settings guided by a teacher, paraprofessional, or a parent helper.
The incentive toys will help motivate my students to do their homework, reading, and positive behaviors. I believe homework and reading at home help to bridge the relationship of school and home. Unfortunately, the bridge isn't easily built. With incentive toys, the students are more likely to do the work at home and return it.
