My special ed students are hands on learners who learn by doing. These clocks will be used to teach these students how to read analog clocks and acquire math skills as well as daily living skills. Building these skills is valuable to them as students as well as future citizens. Students will be taught in a hands on way to tell time by using the clocks to tell time. Students will learn the difference between the hour and minute hands. By using these clocks, students can see how the hands move and understand how to read time by the position of the hands.
