Many of my students do not have access to books at home. They tend to only read the books they take out from the library or the books that they borrow from our classroom. Because they really use our classroom library, many of the books have started to show wear and tear. Some of our classroom books, are falling apart and missing pages but my students continue to use them because they are what we have.
It would be any amazing boost for my students to see new books in our library and I know it will help them be engaged in reading to see new, exciting books to read.
