Storyworks magazines will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. Especially now, due to limiting use of shared materials, we have restricted access to our library. Every student magazine that is placed in there hands, will give them an opportunity to read and learn across the curriculum. It will also enhance reading at home, because students can take them home to read and share with family. Storyworks magazines will provide my students with the opportunity to read a variety of genres and integrates ELA, Science, and Social Studies Standards.
Students will be able to read stories, articles, plays and poetry, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these magazines will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
