I am teaching students with special needs virtually during this pandemic. I would like to provide them with their own copy of the novel we will be reading.
Having a book at home will help them to focus while I am reading aloud and follow along from home. It can be difficult for students to absorb information and comprehend the text without having the book in front of them. Many students have a difficult time with accessing the computer so books will help them with access.
I work at a Title I school and there is no funding available to buy books. Most families are low-income and are unable to buy the books for their children.
