My preschool students come to me from a variety of different backgrounds and with an extreme variety in learning strengths and abilities. I have both a morning and an afternoon classroom with 20 students per group. Students of all abilities are a part of my learning environment and I do my very best to provide each of them with the learning tools and opportunities that work best for them.
Learning in my classroom shows up in several different forms: play, hands-on exploration, sensory activities, etc... These kiddos are so inquisitive and love learning-it really is great to watch them explore and learn so much every day! Play and exploration are a vital part of their learning experience. I am always looking for new and exciting ways to build and grow a child's knowledge and experiences.
This light table will benefit my students in so many ways. It can be used for math, science, art, handwriting, letter recognition and so much more! I can already see their faces lighting up and the wheels in their little minds turning with the different ways they can use the light table. It will bring forth new and wonderful conversations and interactions, increase imagination and creativity and expose them to a new and different type of learning experience.
Students will be able to use the light table to perform science experiments, group math counters and make letters. So much rich and wonderful vocabulary and discussion will come from this great classroom tool!
Please help "bring the light" to my preschool classroom and provide a tool to broaden my students learning spectrum!
