Basic classroom supplies are my goal for this project in order to create an environment that is encouraging, safe, and welcoming while maintaining a fun, creative learning atmosphere for my third graders. The beginning of the school year was a tough time for many of our kids, one of our goals for the remainder of the year is to increase attendance by making our students feel excited with the proper supplies that are needed. We are currently working on this by eliminating the amount of germs that are in our classroom and providing snacks for students who are hungry. Germs lead to many student absences as well as teachers which causes lost learning opportunities.
This project will help my students stay healthy and focus on their learning by preventing illnesses, eating healthy snacks and supporting their education.
We are limited on notebooks and Post-its and these are materials our students use daily. Our students have a Wit and Wisdom journal that they use every day as well as a math journal, however many of our notebooks are used up. As the teacher of the classroom, I have reached out to parents and asked for parents to volunteer any of these supplies to help keep our students supported academically and healthy.
Unfortunately, because my school is a majority of low-income families we have not had any success in receiving any materials. Anything you could provide will be greatly appreciated! We want to thank you so much in advance!
