Our Latinos in Action class at W.J. Middle School is looking for help with supplies to help them spread pride in their school for their Hispanic Heritage. They work so hard to teach the student body at our school that it is awesome to be prideful in your Latino language and culture.
Each year our Latinos in Action Students solicit donations to diligently organize and plan an annual cultural showcase at our school for their community called "Noche Latina." This community event brings in cultural groups from all over Utah who put on a showcase for an audience of 100's of families from our community. This event has become an amazing tradition in our school community that connects families to what our students are learning in the classroom.
We will be able to use the posters and decorations we have requested to help decorate for our annual event. We are also asking for help with t-shirts that we can wear that night which proudly displays our passion and love for our cultural heritage while they perform cultural dances, sing songs, and read poetry on stage. We also asked for some class supplies to help us learn more about our culture. Please help these amazing underprivileged students have the night of their lives!
