To support our team our cheer squad decorates a run through sign to motivate our players as well as the fans. The girls spend hours making these signs but we have limited supplies and because of our low socioeconomic standing me and my fellow co-sponsors foot the bill for the costs of the supplies.
We have hardworking girls that have to pay to participate because our school does not have the funding for cheerleading. We want to give them every opportunity without expecting them to come up with more money than we have already required. These funds will ensure our girls are on equal footing with competing teams.
