Our project will start by reading, The Color of Us. Then we will discuss some of the diffences and similarities between us all. With the art material the students will be able to able to make their creation of a person and the distinct characteristics.
The students will be asked to make a representation of a member of their family. By having the different children making their own person we will be able to discuss the different characteristics and the similarities between all of us. By seeing the differences we will see how similar we all are and there fore the students will understand that we are all equal and an important part of our community. They will understand that it is with our differences that make us a great community because we can help and respect each other.
