Make a donation Ms. Brown can use on her next classroom project.
Every dollar donated helps our students learn life skills, including the importance of safety around cooking and healthy eating habits. Mastering these skills can help to facilitate transition from school to life in the "real world".
Cooking with students gives them an opportunity to increase independence, put basic academic skills to use in a functional way and to learn to eat healthy.
We plan to partner with Kids Cooking For Life which provides activities and learning opportunities that combine cooking as a life skill with reading, sequencing, working together and following directions, all of which may help to fulfill IEP (Independent Education Plan) goals. Students' overall knowledge in nutrition, health and wellness is guaranteed to improve after just a few classes.
