We are approaching the mid point of our school year and find that our materials for our classroom are running low or have run out. The materials that we are in need of will be utilized for our classroom learning centers and student journals. I use learning centers during our Reading, Math and Writing blocks in order for students to practice skills that have been taught. Students also work on Science, Math, and Reading journals where they place their class work.
Students are able to practice skills with hands-on learning while they are at the various learning centers in our classroom. They use their journals as a study guide for their unit assessments. These journals will be taken home at the end of the year so they will be able to review the skills they learned throughout their days in Kindergarten during the summer. As students work in learning centers and add to their various journals, students are able to have fun while they learn.
