I am a first year teacher, and I got hired for my first full-time teaching job in September. Now that I am settled in my school and classroom, I am recreating my learning space for my students. I work at a Title I school, and I would love to create the best learning environment possible for my fifth grade students by incorporating flexible seating. My students love to get up, move around the room, and use the floor space. So, I would love to utilize a beanbag chair and floor seats for Daily 5, technology time, and cooperative learning to give my students a comfortable and enjoyable learning experience. A wobble stool and ball chairs would be used throughout the day for alternative seating options while we are hard at work and learning.
As the new semester is approaching, I would love to give my students innovative flexible seating options. These flexible seating items will help my students feel safe and ready to learn. I am excited to begin the new year, and I hope to surprise my kiddos with these new seating options!
