To help my students learn amid the pandemic, I could use the horseshoe table for small group interactions with my students. Small groups are an important part of remediation and individualized instruction. The horseshoe table will give me an area that will be available for our small group and individual learning.
I am also requesting math manipulatives to use with my class. Working with the math manipulatives will help my students to explore and understand the concepts that are being taught. By using the math manipulatives my students can become more involved in their learning. Hands on learning is important for students. By using the manipulatives in our learning, we are able to increase student involvement and communication skills. When my students are more active and involved with hands on learning materials, they are more likely to retain the concepts that are being taught. I also want my students to have fun and enjoy learning math.
By donating to our project, you are helping my students by giving them a space for small group instruction and materials that will help give them a better understanding of math concepts.
