The materials included in my project will make a difference in my students' learning in a multitude of ways. The magnetic room divider will allow my students to have one, collective space where they can view and interact with the visual schedule, letter/number of the week, their classroom jobs, and visual schedules to know whether or not they are going to a related service provider (e.g. speech, social worker, etc.) The magnetic room divider will also allow my kids a closed off dramatic play space where they can grow their imaginative play skills. My students work their hardest to improve and control their emotional regulation each and every day, and at 5 years old, this can be a difficult thing for some to do. My classroom does not have a quiet, calm, or sensory area that my students can go to when they are feeling overwhelmed, upset, or like they need to take a break. The Quiet Time Privacy Cube will allow my students a place to take a break and deescalate in a safe, private area. I would love for my students to be able to improve their independence by taking breaks on their own and using the privacy cube when they feel as though they need to take a break.
