The RPG Club is about giving students a space to explore their creativity and imagination.
All of the requested materials will be used directly by our students to design and play their own role-playing games.
Because we don't have a set of rulebooks or manuals, it is difficult to quickly reference rules (and RPGs have lots of rules), which takes time away from actually getting to play the game. The manuals we do have access to are written for adults and have to be modified in content and presentation to be appropriate for kids, so the students have limited opportunities to build independence in learning the mechanics of the game. Our hope is that with access to appropriate materials, the students will be able to run their own games over time.
