I tried to keep the items requested simple. My media students will be able to showcase their work and build a portfolio that they can refer back to and compare their progress in the course.
Students will be able to conduct more efficient video interviews, print the articles they publish on our website and in the local newspaper, and build a portfolio of their masterpieces.
Students seek out students in PreK through 12th grade who have excelled in areas including academics, sports, manners, etc. They write news articles and submit them to our local newspapers to be published along with photographs. They conduct video interviews of the students, teachers, and events as well that is posted on social media to help let the public know about the successes of students at our school.
We have limited technology. Students mainly use their cell phones for recording information and videoing their interviews. These microphones will allow higher qualities production. With the printer, students can print their articles and have a hard copy to evaluate with me and their peers to help enhance their audience grabbing headlines and intros as well as discuss areas of strengths and weaknesses. My students are amazing; they just have very little resources. We want to build our classroom a little bit at a time. These items are an excellent start and will benefit the students tremendously.
