The students that I work with are children who are struggling to learn how to read. These children are learning the foundational literacy skills necessary to become more accurate and fluent readers.
Many of these students also have attentional issues. They struggle with being able to maintain their focus, attend to their instruction and use the information they are learning to improve their literacy skills.
Having the use of a "wobble stool" allows the child the freedom to "wiggle" in their seat while still maintaining their focus on the learning taking place at the table. Often these students tip in their chair or swing their legs and this will provide them a safer alternative.
