These supplies will help supplement our current out of date math curriculum. Using the printer, I will be able to print up to date standard appropriate materials that meet the students at where they are in their learning. I can also print/create materials to remediate or enrich my learners. Students with special needs or accommodations will also have the materials they need to make them successful. Our student who is seeing impaired can have our math resources enlarged. Our students with fine motor difficulties can have the resources created with space to write. Using the laminator, I can create task cards, anchor charts or math aids which provide another way for students to practice and master the standards. Laminated materials can also be used to create math tools that can be used during small group instruction. These math tools, which include multiplication charts, place value charts and number lines, can be used with wipe erase markers to allow the students a way to interact and practice what they know.
Using math games and task cards, as well as giving each student the specific resources they need to be successful, helps them all be engaged and get the most out of the instruction. This differentiated instruction can help my students make the instructional gains that are so desperately needed if they are to keep up with their educational demands.
