The materials I am requesting for my kindergartners will help our transition into our new classroom theme and environment. Since this is occurring in the middle of the school year, it will be difficult for the kindergartners to adjust. By helping fund this project, you will be providing children with the learning materials they need to swing through our jungle of learning. I am walking into another teacher's classroom who lacks necessary materials to aid in the achievement of these wonderful children. The Phonemic Awareness Activity Program will help my students to be able to hear, identify, and manipulate the sound of the language. Kindergarten through 2nd grade is when the reading and spelling skills begin to develop. The HP printer will be used in the classroom to print out different center activities to go along with the manipulatives, such as the teddy counters and linking cubes in color. The math resources will be used in centers. I want centers to be a big thing in my classroom. The word tiles, magnetic letter kit, snap together letter blocks will all be used to help my students to learn how to build words. The materials will make a difference in my students' learning by giving them the materials they need to succeed in a 21st century kindergarten classroom.
Changing teachers halfway through the year can be difficult for any age student, especially five year olds.
My students need materials to help them to succeed in their educational careers. This project reaches out to all my students because it provides a variety of learning strategies, group work, and learning options to ensure each student needs are met. We are so wild about learning this school year in Ms. Leon's Kindergarten Class.
