During centers time one of my students was playing with a toy beaver. I told them beavers use their tails to warn other animals and to help make a beaver dam. Several students didn鈥檛 believe me when I shared this with them. It would have been a great opportunity to grab an iPad and show them videos of how a beaver uses their tail.
My students are visual and hands on learners and my goal is to be able to accommodate all my children's learning needs.
Some of my children need more encouragement to participate in literacy and math activities during centers time. I believe an iPad would motivate these children to explore those literacy and math activities.
A huge part of early childhood is documenting and observing the children in the classroom. I will be able to use the iPad as a way to document my children鈥檚 learning and growth through pictures and learning games, which in turn helps them.
