Students with Autism have very specific needs for sensory tools to maintain self regulation in order to reach their optimal academic success. These tools will help our students sustain their ability to focus on tasks.
The Hokki chairs will help students maintain focus in the classroom and the Midlee Sensory Path decals will create a space where students can go to regulate their bodies. These tools can be used for maintaining self regulation both in and out of the classroom.
We need to create a sensory movement space so that students have a space to go to regulate their bodies so they can return to the classroom as soon as possible, and be ready for the next learning activity. We work very collaboratively as a team and all the classrooms lack the materials needed to create a calmer environment for the students in need.
