In my classroom, creativity is key! We emphasize neatness and imagination. Permanent markers help us keep our work clean. The Mr. Sketch markers are the best out there. They last a long time, while students get the best coloring options. In the art classroom, we utilize Starbursts for winning tables. When student tables receive the most points: demonstrating direction following and neatness, they get rewarded. Along with the markers, Ticonderoga pencils are the best pencils for creating artwork. They sharpen easily and last longer than other pencils. Lastly, oil pastels are used with every grade level. They show students a different way to create.
With the last year being a challenging one, I want my students to be able to use all the materials available. My students were using pencil and paper last year, so I want to bring a diverse art curriculum to them.
