Support Mr. Navarro's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
My classroom has a large number of English Language Learners and Spanish Language Learners since we are a dual immersion classroom. About half of my students are currently learning English at different ability levels, and many are below proficiency in reading. As a school, we have programs in place specifically designed to help all students, but especially those who are learning English as their second language.
My children come from low-income families, some live in shelters and have no resources to afford a headset.
The ability to achieve their full potential is my goal. I am trying to get a classroom set of headphones so my students are able to use the programs we have in place fully. As of now, students are trying to listen to the lessons (which are at their individual level) while everyone else has different lessons going. In addition, part of the programs have them practice speaking and reading, so they are trying to record over other students.
Having these headphones will allow students to be more successful in using the programs to learn English, practice reading, and be successful in their lives, which is my main goal as a teacher.
