"Students must first hold math in their hands before they can hold it in their head."
As a math teacher I can not begin to tell you how true this is! This project will provide the 90 plus students I work with the manipulatives that will allow them to represent, see, and most importantly hold math problems while solving.
These tools will help me provided guided support and better insight as to where students are having misunderstandings, and fill those gaps. With these tools students will be able to comprehend more deeply and better understanding in the foundational skills which are so important. These tools will not only help in their understanding but also with their confidence in the classroom.
