I can already see how the materials I have chosen will be used in my classroom. The sand tools will help students' booster letter identification and letter sounds. Students will be engaged as they fish for letters and make sight words. The craft materials I have chosen are for students to use to retell stories, create their own and help improve their writing skills, all through play. Any teacher knows the key to helping students build their community is through good storage for easy access for children to be independent. Everything needs a home!
The donations to this project will help my classroom become developmentally appropriate for the sake of students learning. As I have been given the green light from our district to take a risk. I want to make sure they children have materials they can use, all while learning. My students are beginning their academic careers and it's invaluable to get them to love coming to school. The tools we use must get them excited and love what they are doing all without realizing its play with a purpose. To my students it's just fun and school should be that, FUN!!!
