Our unique class of cuties is a mix of children with developmental delays. Their needs vary but do have a common thread the basics! We are teaching basic preschool skills while also beginning language and math development. By providing unique sensory based lessons, the children become more engaged and more likely to interact with a lesson or an item. Placing the letters and numbers on the light board or on the gel pads to begin letter, number, and color recognition will engage and excite them. The clear sensory balls are a perfect way to create a sharing circle, pushing the balls back and forth to those who are not likely to join in other play opportunities. These young students with unique needs will benefit from the sensory input these items provide, as well as the basic learning skills they will gain!
