My students will learn about holidays, seasons, and many language concepts. By providing speech therapy with literacy-based content (versus worksheets), students transfer learned skills to generalized, everyday tasks much faster!
I've prepared lessons to teach a wide variety of speech and language goals using two books per month, but I don't have access to these books. I am asking for a variety of titles, including Giraffes Can't Dance, Duck on a Bike, and Crazy Like a Fox. My students work on goals such as speech sound production, understanding vocabulary, using grammar structures, stuttering, and social skills. By using these materials to address students' goals, my students will be able to not only master these important skills in my therapy room, but to be able to transfer these skills to the general education classroom, the playground, at home, and across all settings in the community.
