My students absolutely love playing instruments. The larger variety of instruments will allow for a more diverse and complex music education. We can layer different types of sounds and rhythms. We can tell stories through instrument sound effects and explore the different patterns and rhythms we can create.
Our classroom is a beautiful wide open space that is a welcoming and safe place to learn. My students love creating and making music that moves them. To keep the music going my students would love to opportunity to drum on working drums, to see the shapes of music with scarves and feel the beat with egg shakers. These materials not only give us more options but allow our activities to be more accessible to all students. Please help us keep the music going in our classroom.
