In my classroom, students sit daily on the carpet for lessons, story time, independent reading time, and so much more! My students love to work together in small groups and partners but they also need their personal space. By having the spot in our room where we meet daily (and often) students will be comfortable to share their ideas when they feel like they are in a comfortable space and not feeling crowded by others. A carpet with blocked squares will help with this. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
