My classroom has one small whiteboard and a chalkboard. Two additional dry erase boards on wheels will allow students to collaborate with each other during group work time while exploring the classroom. More than just math, we believe being able to articulate your mathematical ideas cements the concepts, while improving a valuable life-skill, public speaking. My students organize their mathematical thoughts, and hone their public speaking skills every day by presenting different problems while we correct homework. Collaborating in this way helps students who need additional support; but more that that, it truly cements the concepts for those who are providing the help.
