I teach a class of special education students with varying disabilities. Right now there I have 6 students, but I can have up to 6 more enter my class throughout the year. One area in our classroom - the one I am seeking to add equipment and supplies to - is a Sensory Center where students can go to calm down when they feel upset or overstimulated. Things like a rug, soft seating, squishy objects, and other things I've requested in this project will all help to create the kind of environment I am working for with this center. By funding this project, you can help me create a warm, safe space for them. Thank you.
