Flexible seating allows students to be in charge of their learning. During independent work times, my students do a great job finding a spot that works best for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating and engaging them. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work. We currently have wobble stools, and crates. I have noticed how my students love to be close to the floor. Floor seating options would be a great addition to help us grow even more!
