The laptop I'm requesting will be used to motivate students to research Environmental Science and present google docs slide shows about the biology, ecology, and physics of our environment, why we need to protect and preserve our environment, and specific methods both natural and unnatural that affect our environment. Students have been creating slide shows, but our school computers need to be shared due to limited resources and funding for technology. Because they are motivated to research, create, and write, as well as present their slideshows with the support of technology and having our own laptop will be the perfect segue to expose them to and make them experts on environmental science.
This will further empower our low-income and special needs students to connect with environmental science and further give them access to newer technology, making a concrete investment in their future.
