I am looking for new furniture for my classroom that will encourage more collaboration. I am working to create a more active learning environment and the student would benefit from having separate desks and chairs. By have separate desks and chairs, my students will have more options to forming collaborative groups. I would like to be able to group my students in pairs for various activities; however, there are times when 3 or 4 students need to collaborate. The current desks in my classroom are not conducive for collaborating with more than 3 students since the chairs are attached to the desks.
