Human beings are born with an innate sense of rhythm. Some of my students have not had the opportunity to explore that sense in an environment where it could be nurtured and encouraged . My students love exploring and enjoying music through many different media but rhythm is one of their favorites. New rhythm instruments will allow all my students to have the joy of making music. Organizing sound as a community and creating something you enjoy and is beautiful is so rewarding and fun! Elementary music is a jumping on point for developing a life-long love and appreciation for music. Also, students will learn responsibility by helping to take care of the instruments so that they can be enjoyed by many students to come.
