The book that I'm wanting to put into the hands of my students reinforces the message that we believe in them, that they're brilliant, and that they can do hard things even when they feel like giving up. In addition, the book is inclusive and diverse. My students will be able to see themselves through colorful illustrations and imagery. By donating to this amazing project, you will help support the social-emotional and equity learning opportunities that we create for all of our students through the arts, literacy, math, science, and social studies. In addition, the book that I have selected for our students will connect to 5 competencies from our equity work: innovative, adaptability, critical analysis, cross-culture communication, and teamwork. The book that I am requesting will illustrate these points of view as we help guide students through their learning experience.
