Creating a classroom library that will grab the attention of the child and invite them in to explore will lead to increased reading skills and an overall love of reading! This project will add materials to our classroom library that will encourage students to explore books and find titles they enjoy. They will be able to easily view the topics that pique their wide variety of interests through clearly labeled and organized book bins. Finding a book that is just right for them will be as simple as A-B-C in the leveled library area.
Through reading not only does a child's imagination get to run free, his knowledge also grows and valuable lessons are learned. Once children find that love of reading, it is something that can never be taken away. When a wide variety of print is at their fingertips, it is more likely that they will stumble upon that one book, one character, one author that leads them to grow that love. This project will fully support students' growth of reading independence and open their hearts and minds to a world full of literacy!
