The reason behind the sensory table for my classroom is to help my children鈥檚 learning in many different ways. I want to incorporate hands on learning because there are so many different advantages that illustrate why hands-on learning is better than other traditional learning methods. Hands-on learning is the process of learning by doing which is very important for my students and It is proven to be more effective. It also exposes the students to real-world scenarios as much as possible. Using materials such as sand and water beads in the sensory boxes can help students manipulate certain objects like letters and numbers to help them identify them while still working on fine and gross motor skills.
