I would like to teach my students about financial literacy during our economics unit. Every year, second grade students learn about producers and consumers, as well as buying and trading. The books I have requested will be a wonderful resource to read to my students about financial literacy and branch into the importance of saving money. At the conclusion of our economics study, I would like for my students to participate in a class store.
For two weeks, my students will be able to earn classroom bucks for completing homework and being kind, responsible citizens.
They will then be able to use those classroom bucks to purchase items from the class store. Items such as suckers, pixie sticks, and bubble gum are sure to be popular choices with eight year old children. If you help fund my project, my students are sure to have a fun time learning about the importance of finances!
