Students will have a better opportunity to be fully engaged during small group instruction because they have to support themselves! Often they lean back in the chair, playing with their fingers, pencils, erasers or any other item, causing them to be distracted. Slouching will not be an option with these seats. Students also enjoy seeing new things in the classroom. Regular school chairs are boring to them and more than likely they will have them at their desks. Having alternative seating at their group table will encourage excitement for small group rotations! The seats can also slide under the table to provide easier and safer mobility around the room!
