I want my students to show their creativity and skills through their artwork. They will be learning about 3D sculptures, self-portraits and creating abstract paintings. My students will be creating 3D sculptures with the gesso and will be choosing a theme and painting it with the tempera paint sticks. The construction paper and tempera paint sticks will be used to create the self portraits and abstract paintings we will be talking about this year and I am excited to see them.
I love when my students get excited about their art, so I want to go above and beyond with my lessons and allow them to show me their artistic skills. They enjoy being in my classroom because they get to use their hands and imagination to create amazing art. I want them to have the opportunity of showing what they can do and these materials will help them do just that. My students are grateful for any projects they get to do in my classroom and it makes me happy to see them excited about their work.
