Being a special education teacher who was also in special education, I know that there is not way one a child learns. Many children learn all different ways by hands on, colors, writing, seeing, hearing and so on. Being in special ed I need to meet every need of each of my students.
With these items I am able to give my students different seating methods which will allow my figgitors to feel more comfortable in their own skin and keep focus on what is going on in the classroom. Having highlights, crayons, notebooks these are different ways to stay organized which will teach them in the future how to stay organized but also work with their disability. My classroom has a black board table as well as a white board table which my kids love to write on and work out problems there. The door bell is a great way to let them know time is almost up and for them to get ready for transition. The wheel will allow my kids to earn rewards as well as using it for game in math or reading.
With these different items I know I can help my kids with learning and being successful.
