My students are the next generation of leaders. As 4th graders, they are learning how to interact with technology, utilizing these tools to communicate and collaborate with others as well as to get tasks completed. This has been an obstacle, though not impossible during our Covid classroom years.
At my school, students have a rich curriculum involving the core subjects as well as PE and Hawaiiana. As an International Baccalaureate school, our students strive to be globally minded. Our curriculum is deeply connected to our community and beyond. My students are learning to take action about issues to help out locally and globally.
My fourth graders do their best to share the few of student tech that we have. I feel that providing opportunities for students to work with age-appropriate technology helps them become better learners and gives them the foundations for a technology rich future.
