My project will empower my students' education and will enable learning, by contributing to the social and emotional wellness of students, families, and educators. Our mindfulness/social emotional-based library corner will be used during morning meetings which are a powerful way to start the day. Morning meeting creates a safe space for learning. The reading of our books, reflections, and sharing of our experiences will help to build a Strong Classroom Culture. Additionally, the library will be part of mini-lessons, share time and literacy rotations where students will be able to read, make connections and write stories based on their readings where character experience a positive change. It will empower them and drive them to foster positive and healthy relationships. Along, with that it will impact our classroom and the community, ultimately resulting in positive contributions to society as a whole.
