My students live in a very low economic area in Philadelphia, Mississippi. We do not have the technology to allow students to have iPads or Chromebooks for individual use. It would be awesome to have the Scholastic Magazines for my students to be able to write in and highlight in, instead of always having to share, this would be something of their own. Having materials in my classroom that give the students a sense of ownership, I believe will make them care more about the books. We are taking a virtual tour across the US this year with my schools theme of "On The Road To Success.鈥 Our librarian has mapped out towns for us to stop at on our trip. We will use the materials at different points in our travels to get more familiar with the towns we are visiting.
